The GUSTARD DAC A-18 uses the latest Flagship Premium D/A Converter AK4499EQ chip from Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM).
This state of the art 4-channel chip utilizes a current-output architecture in contrast to the previous generations of voltage output chips, allowing for first-time industry-leading levels of extremely low noise and distortion.
The GUSTARD A-18 has an incredibly low level of THD+N (124dB) combined with high SNR of 140dB.
The A-18 has a natively balanced architecture with a fully balanced output. (no single-ended or differential conversion)
Using Altera MAX II CPLD programmable logic chip, self-developed logic function digital integrated circuit, built-in clock management, 2nd PLL digital shaping, DOP demodulation, PCM/DSD depop switch, and other exclusive technologies, laying a solid foundation for excellent sound quality.
The IV conversion circuit is equipped with four independent LME49860 dual op-amps.
These ultra-low distortions, low noise, high slew rate dual op-amps to meet high current requirements AK4499 chip resulting in the best sound quality output combined with the lowest level of measurable distortion.
The active low-pass filter (LPF) utilizes 2 LME49860 dual op-amps from Texas Instruments.
Builtin linear power supply (custom made toroidal transformer) for low voltage ripple, low magnetic leakage, and minimal interference.
TPSA33 and TPS7S47 ultra-low noise linear regulators.
2 Ultra-low jitter high accuracy Accusilicon AS318-B femtosecond crystal clocks.
Latest Qualcomm CSR8675 high-end Bluetooth 5.0 chip supporting AAC, SBC, APTX, APTX LL, APTX HD, LDAC, reaching up to 24bit/96kHz for the highest quality audio transmission.
High-quality audio grade Nichion capacitors.
Latest USB audio controller XU208 from XMOS, supporting up to PCM768 DSD512 32bits.
